Mission Statement

The mission and purpose of First Presbyterian Church Early Childhood Program is to

promote a Christian education which will emphasize God’s love and love of others;

provide a nurturing environment in which a developmentally appropriate curriculum will provide for physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through an integrated approach; and

prepare an environment where children will learn through active exploration of materials and through interactions with other children and adults.

Letter from the Director

Since 1958, the Early Childhood Program has served the families of Pasadena and the surrounding communities with a loving and nurturing Mother's Day Out and Preschool Program. We are a state licensed facility that focuses on social development of each child as they prepare for kindergarten. We are very proud of our teachers, facilities, and church family that continue to support our school. Our program offers a safe and loving environment for infants through children 5 years old. Whether your child has been introduced to a program or is just beginning, we would love for you to join our school family.

Enrollment Options

Children are placed in classes according to their age as of September 1st of the current school year. Our student/teacher ratios are kept very low allowing us to give each child the attention, love and care they need. Each day is structured to include music time, outdoor play, individual play as well as one on one activities with the teacher. We offer a 2 day program, a 3 day program, as well as a 5 day program.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes are 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Tuesday/Thursday classes are 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Classes

Little Stars - 3 months to 12 months

Little Monkeys - 12 months to 24 months

Busy Bees - 2 years old

Early Pre-K - 3 years old (must be fully potty trained)

Pre-K - 4 years old (must be fully potty trained)

Our calendar is closely aligned with the Pasadena Independent School District.

Application Process

In order to register for classes, you must fill out the registration form and pay the registration fee. Additional paperwork is required to begin school and may be obtained from the school. There are limited spaces available and are filled on a first come/first serve basis.

Fees are required once for the Fall semester and once for the Spring semester.
